Sardinia in general Sardinia is famous for its beaches as they are among the most beautiful in the world. It is an unmatched paradise of peace and tranquillity. The algae, which plagues so many Mediterranean beaches, is not present here. The unspoiled sea shows a rich variety of colours, from turquoise to emerald green, the cliffs are rose-coloured and the beaches of white sand. Inland is a majestic mountain region. The granite here shines in the intense light of the south from steel grey to vivid red. Marquis bushes cover the landscape as far as the eye can see and visitors can drive for miles and see only the occasional shepherd.

Sardinia's grottos, caves,
and Nuraghi have their own magic. Just becoming
acquainted with the Nuraghi culture or visiting
one of the ancient grottos that are scattered across
the whole island brings one back to a lost time.

| Sardinians are exceptionally warm
and friendly. There are lots of local festivals
and celebrations well worth seeing where the local
costumes are shown and the carts are pulled by oxses.
Mass tourism has not arrived in Sardinia and for
the individual traveller there are many beautiful
things to discover. Life in Sardinia is pure pleasure.
The countryside is diverse with unique fauna and
flora set against a backdrop of unspoiled nature
and has been immaculately preserved, both culturally
and historically. |

The fish and seafood
are cooked in the most delicious ways and the catch
of the day is as fresh as it gets. The "Sarrabus"
area is a famous for it's citrus fruit, wines and
pecorino cheese. |

Summer lasts for seven
months in Sardinia. Spring is a very pleasant time
to visit Sardinia as the whole island is in bloom.

wind, the mistral, and even the hot months of July
and August are therefore pleasant, the swimming
season lasts from May through November. |
